Would you be scared if massive floating tentacle monsters started chasing you in the middle of nowhere? Well, that’s exactly what happens in “Bismarck 45 Miles” my flash fiction horror story, that I originally wrote in 2021 and recently revised. It incorporates elements of Lovecraftian horror, megalophobia, and fear of the unknown which serve to personify fate as well as the uncertainties of life and the unknowns of how the universe works. Of course, as inspirations, they only take the work so far and the writing is meant to be interpreted in a variety of ways.
